"On the first day of the week let each one of you lay something aside, storing up as he may prosper" (1 Corinthians 16:2). The Lord gives us every blessing we enjoy. He cares for us, providing for us, everything we need in this life as we prepare for an eternal home with Him and His Son. It is our good pleasure to give freely back to Him, as He has indeed given freely all things. "Let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver" (1 Corinthians 9:7).
